Microsoft have announced the launch of their own Windows Live Messenger app for the iPhone.
The app that was an optional extra for networks on Windows Mobile (annoyingly!), is available from the Apple App store now for free.
On the iPhone though it will not be able to run in the background, as the lack of multi-tasking on the phone will turn it off when you switch to any other app.
