DROID Incredible announced

DROID Incredible announced Remember the DROID ? Of course you do, it’s the Motorola handset that caused such a stir in the US a few months ago following a huge PR campaign. It was launched on Verizon in the USA and had a small outing here in Europe as the MILESTONE. Today another DROID has been released on Verizon, but this time it’s made by HTC. It’s powered, as the name suggests, by Android and will be available on April 29th in the US. It has a 3.7″ 480×800 WVGA AMOLED screen (the same as the Desire) plus GPS, WiFi, 3.5mm audio jack, proximity sensor, light sensor, digital compass, 1Ghz CPI and an 8 megapixel camera. Hmm.. This actually sounds a lot like the HTC Desire doesn’t it?

The all-new HTC Sense comes complete with the new back-up and “Friend Stream” features to pull all your Facebook, Twitter and Flickr activity into one place. Fancy one? You can pre-order it on www.verizonwireless.com from April 19th or buy it from shops on the 29th. It’ll cost $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate if you sign up to two year plans starting at $29.99.
