We were perhaps a little harsh on the Toshiba TG01 when it first appeared. Our review highlighted the great specs and performance of the device but we fealt that the WinMo 6.1 interface was getting a little tired. Now there’s good news, because TG01 owners can upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5.
We’re not totally sure whether branded handsets (like the Orange one we looked at) are upgradeable too, but it’s certainly worth a try. The usual warnings apply here – backup your data and charge the phone as much as possible.
Update – Oohh – apparently there’s an Orange build here at xda-devs..
