Just a day before the big launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 and there’s yet more bad news for Microsoft. Palm have dropped Windows Mobile, Motorola seem to have done the same and now Acer are to shift focus. Although we’ve not seen a massive amount of Acer WinMo devices here in the UK, it’s still another major blow to the platform. Digitimes reports..
“Acer, while still developing Windows Mobile-based smartphones, has shifted its development policy to focus more on the Android platform, with at least half of new models launched in 2010 to be Android-based, according to industry sources.”
