Verizon launch two Windows Mobiles

Verizon launch two Windows Mobiles During the first few years this site existed, our friends in America didn’t really see much in the way of Windows Mobile phones. Now though, it’s all changing. New handsets are now appearing fairly regularly and it’s our turn to look on in envy as the handsets keep getting launched onto networks. Verizon have announced that two new devices will be showing up on their network this “holiday season” (I still know of no-one that gets offended if I say “Christmas”?).

Firts up is this Samsung SCH-i760, available today online and in shops on November 2nd. It’s currently selling on two-year contracts for $299.99 after an online discount. The EV-DO capable handset is powered by Windows Mobile 6 Pro and you’ll get WiFi, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and that slide-out QWERTY nestling behind the numeric keypad.

The second Windows-powered handset is the SMT5800 running Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone). It’s the US-version (CDMA) of the HTC S710 (GSM) which I’ve got in my pocket right now. This also has a slide-out QWERTY and numeric keypad, but you’re getting a 2 megapixel camera and the classic mobile shape.
