Official specs of the HTC Kaiser are now starting to come out of the Mobile & Embedded DevCon. The Kaiser will be known on the street as the HTC P4550 and on T-Mobile as the MDA Vario III. The specs are top-drawer with the obvious slide-out QWERTY keyboard, tilting 240×320 display, assisted GPS (sat-nav), 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and a MicroSD expansion slot. Connectivity comes in the shape of quadband 3G UMTS and HSPDA plus GPRS, EDGE, video calling and WiFi.
A 400Mhz Qualcomm MSM7200 chip powers Windows Mobile 6 Pro along with 128Mb of RAM and 256Mb of ROM.
This certainly looks like one very capable, stylish and quick handset. We’re definitely looking forward to it, especially with that innovative gull-wing-style screen. We’ve got to ask though… where are all the Smartphones? 🙁
