We’ve seen the excellent CorePlayer under many guises over the years. It’s an excellent movie player for your Windows Mobile and will let you view all manner of file types – H.264 (AVC), MPEG, DivX, XviD and WMV to name just a few. It’ll also play a variety of audio files too, however it’s no longer free. It now costs $24.95 (roughly £13.32) to purchase. Over the years we’ve known it as BetaPlayer and then “The Core Pocket Media Player”, or TCPMP for short.
It’s a shame in a way that such a good free application which has brought movies, videos and music to so many people on the Windows Mobile platform will now carry a price-tag. A lot less people will now be using it and enjoying the benefits it provides.
