Virgin Lobster 700TV on test

Virgin Lobster 700TV on test You’ll know by now that we’ve mentioned the Lobster 700TV phone from Virgin quite a bit. It’s a Windows Smartphone with a DAB tuner built-in but it does far more than just receive radio – it’s a TV receiver too. We’re lucky enough to be one of the first to have this handset and it’s pretty impressive indeed. Within seconds I was watching live TV and not bad quality either.

The Lobster 700 TV comes from Virgin Mobile and has a slightly bulbous but rather sexy shape about it. It comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, pocket MSN and runs on a TI OMAP 750 at 201Mhz with 64Mb RAM, 128Mb Flash and a MicroSD card slot underneath the SIM card.

I’ve taken some shots of the handset in action and recorded a video of the TV facilities on the device. We’ll also have a review coming very soon indeed. Click below to get more pictures plus a first glimpse at the TV in action.
