iMate K-JAM joins the iMate JASJAR

iMate K JAM joins the iMate JASJAR Expansys, the online retailer of network-free handsets, have now put the HTC Wizard onto their site here in the shape of the iMate K-JAM for about £490 or £255 with a Vodafone contract. This comes just a day after they put the i-mate JASJAR (AKA SPV M5000) on their site for about £745 or £510 with a Vodafone contract.

Orange will, we believe, still be the first network to release a Windows Mobile 5.0 handset when the M5000 appears shortly. Both of these iMate handsets are only available on “pre-order” at present.

The i-Mate K-JAM comes with Windows Mobile 5.0, MiniSD card, Wifi and is described by Expansys, as follows…

“Operational choices include viewing the screen in portrait mode and using the K-JAM like the i-mate JAM, entering data with the stylus. However slide out the QWERTY keyboard and watch the screen automatically change to landscape. Enter data, write emails with the fully keyboard. Designed for two thumb use and very quick data entry, when you are finished the keyboard can then be neatly tucked away back under the device.”
