Benq P50 Windows Mobile to include Handango In this MySan.de article it’s revealed that BenQ will be shipping the Handango InHand intelligent download client on its P30 (Symbian Smartphone) and P50 (Windows Mobile for Pocket PC) smartphones. This announcement is one of many occuring today at 3GSM World Congress.

If you’ve not heard about the P50, then here’s some info from the story..


“The P50 has been hailed for its feature-packed design. It is a quad-band GSM phone with integrated WI-FI and Bluetooth running Windows Mobile-based software. In addition, it comes with a QWERTY keyboard and a brilliant 2.8 inch, 18-bit TFT screen with up to 262,144 colors and touch screen display. The integrated 1.3 megapixel camera is a first for WAN phones. The device is powered by a 416 MHz Intel PXA270 processor, with 64 MB of RAM and 64 MB of ROM, plus an SD card slot for additional memory. If that’s not enough, it supports MMS, WAP 2.0 and J2ME MIDP 2.0 with talk and standby times of five and 200 hours, respectively. All of this is available in a sleek package that is 12 x 6 x 2 cm and weighs 150 grams.”


This Handango “plugin”, which is to be called “The BenQ Shop”, will enable P30 and P50 customers to access games apps and more.
