It’s not often – if at all – that I speak about handsets which are NOT based on the Microsoft Windows Mobile OS, but this story about the Panasonic X700 caught my eye. Not because it’s based on the Symbian Operating System, but because it will apparently be equiped with video editing software, voice recognition and the ability to read and edit Microsoft Office documents.
The Panasonic X700 is scheduled for next Autumn, which is a while off yet – but this throws down the gauntlet to Windows Mobile.
