We’ve already reported on “BlueJacking” here but now it looks like being a spammers paradise – at least for people using handsets that can have “Discoverable” Bluetooth turned on (the E200 MS Smartphone tends to die after about 4 hours with this turned on).
Now Silicon.com is reporting on the lovely new method of sending spam – yes, via bluetooth. And don’t get any daft ideas about it only being within 10 metres – ‘cus it’s not. I’ve purchased this Bluetooth dongle that goes as far as 80 metres. So next time you’re at a trade show / supermarket etc you may find that your phone lights up with an advert ! 🙁 🙁
