DigiTimes.com reports today that Compal Communications – who produced the developer Smartphones and early MS Smartphone handsets in the US (including the Red-e phone) are now due to mass produce second smartphone in the third quarter of 2004.
Company president Henry Lee, said in a statement to reporters that the phone will be clamshell in design (like the Motorola MPx200) and will be code-named the AR22. It will use the Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Operating System and will run a Texas Instruments (TI) OMAP 730 processor. A built-in digital camera will also feature.
It wasn’t clear whether this handset would have bluetooth, but if they do decide to put that on, then this handset will sell and sell.
