A new light-projected keyboard is being worked on by Californian company Canesta. Their chipsets will allow a beam of light to project a fully functional keyboard onto a flat surface!
NEC and an un-named American manufacturer are already working on how to incorporate this new Canesta chipset into mobile phones and PDAs for late 2004-2005.
The keyboard is being displayed at the “Emerging Technologies” exhibit at Siggraph, and will be aimed at Smartphones and PDAs.
