Now watch Google Play movies and TV shows offline on your Chromebook

Are you like Ronnie and I? We are owners of Chromebooks.  Back in May, we were promised the ability to view offline any movies or television shows that had been rented or purchased from Google Play. On Thursday there was an update to ChromeOS that now allows this feature, along with Info Cards that now show up for anyone watching a select number of films, giving film fans additional information on some of the movies when the clip is paused. In addition, Google claims that the update brings users improvements for Chromecast, along with a better local playback experience, for watching movies in the Chrome browser, although specifics were not revealed. It’s a nice update for Chromebook users as it makes it their devices less reliant on WiFi. The only other constraint being Chromebooks do have only small internal drives, around the 16/3GB region.
