HTC One mini 2. The details.

This isn’t a math’s lesson before anyone tries to run away.  It’s HTC Launching the One Mini 2 “The world’s most grippable android ever” according to HTC.  But as all good things come in small packages, lets go see what we can say about this.

The specs first are as follows ..

Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 400, 1.2GHz quad-core CPU
Android™ 4.4 with HTC Sense™ 6
HTC BlinkFeed™
16GB with expandable microSD™ memory card for up to 128GB additional storage
HTC BoomSound™ with dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers
Rear camera: 13MP, BSI sensor with f/2.2 lens and 1080p Full HD video recording
Front camera: 5MP, BSI sensor with 1080p Full HD video recording
2100 mAh battery
Talk time: Up to 16.2 hours for 3G
Standby time Up to 556 hours for 3G
4.5″ 720p Screen

So we have a slimmed down version of the HTC One M8, but still have loads of the main features we have come to love and expect from the M8. Some of the key features include the 5MP Front Facing Camera, Sense 6, and a rather good battery life according to the specs.  Currently at Launch the Zoe app won’t be available we believe on the Mini 2 but HTC are releasing it as a standalone app in the summer of 2014.

The phone is going to be available in 3 different colours “Gun metal Grey, Glacial Silver, and Amber Gold” as shown below:

The HTC One Mini 2 will arrive in Europe and Asia starting in June 2014 but the availability will vary by country and regions so we will have to stay tuned for more specifics here.  Overall this looks like a good improvement over the previous Mini’s and a good slimmed down version of the M8 not cutting out too many features.  If you’re looking for a smaller phone with some good specs and a nice metal case this could very well be your answer.
