Oppo are famed for their flagship specs and wallet friendly pricing, but look back at their history there are a few budget devices in there. The most recent being the R819 which was a dual SIM MediaTek device. According to PhoneArena , Oppo have filed it with the FCC and along with those records are some pictures of the device and some specs. As well as its initial codename R1001.
Spec wise it’s predictably basic, here is what has been gleaned from the FCC info so far.
– MediaTek MT6572A dual-core CPU up to 1.2GHz.
– ARM Mali 400-MP GPU.
– 1700mAh battery.
Oppo have in the past called their budget devices by their code number, like the R819 so it seems like this device will continue that and they’ll call it the R1001. No doubt we shall get to see this soon and then Ronnie will probably buy one and then we’ll review it. You know usual Coolsmartphone/Oppo stuff.
