You may have heard the rumours that Apple is launching a so called “iPad Mini”, a 7.85 inch version of the hugely popular iPad. Well the event is now official. It’ll be held next Tuesday the 23rd of October.
The timing is key here for Apple as Microsoft will be launching surface tablets later that week and Samsung has a “next big thing” event scheduled for the day after the Apple event.
The casing for the new tablet may have already leaked but there is still much we do not know about the device. Will it be able to compete with the much lauded Nexus 7, which is competitive on both specs and pricing? I guess we’ll find out next Tuesday.
