We knew even before Windows Phone 7 was completed that a few features would have to wait and that the first update would fix a lot of the issues reviewers had flagged up. Custom ringtones, copy and paste etc. Although we kinda all knew it, developer Chris Walshie has stated that the first update will be “massive” and also tweets that they were working on the update before they actually shipped the first version.
We’ll wait with baited breath to see what improvements and enhancements are added. If we’re honest there’s not a great deal of news here, however it does mark the first ever centrally-managed OS update from Microsoft.
