I’ve been meaning to try this for a while now but never got around to it. Orange UK users will know that the sexy “Orange Lady” is pretty well known. She appears every Friday on Pete Tongs’ Radio 1 show and is far better than Vodaphone / Virgin voice-mail ladies, who simply say,
“You have reached the voicemail of ….. 0…………………..7……………………..9……..”
.. I HATE those ones, as they always take an hour to tell you the phone number you’ve just dialled, then they eventually put you through to the voicemail box after keeping you on the phone for ages listening to each number being said every 5 seconds…. “0” (tick, tock, tick, tock) “7” (snooze, beginning to forget why I called now) “9” (bored now, don’t wanna bother) “7” AGH! Sod it…. (CLUNK)
So where was I ? Oh yes, I’ve been meaning to sample the lovely Orange Lady saying, “You have one new message” and put it on here to use as a SMS / Text Message WAV. Cool huh ? Well, I’ve tried and this is the best I’ve been able to do so far. It’s a little fiddly trying to record from a phone line – so PLEASE if anyone can do better, please email me the results it’d be much appreciated and I’ll put them on here in place of my quiet crackly effort.
