HTC Hero wins big in Annual Global Mobile Awards

When we first saw it at the London launch we walked out of the event half-way through. We were Windows Mobile "only" then but, after having the device in our hands for the week after, we were won over. It did compete well with the iPhone, it did have the functionality and the customization. The Hero alone was responsible for us covering Android.
The Hero last night won the Best Mobile Handset or Device at the 15th Annual Global Mobile Awards. This is an award that is normally given to companies like Nokia, so for HTC to scoop this is a big thing but the Hero deserves it. It is a fantastic phone. Well done HTC.
