The Touch HD is a Windows Mobile device that we reviewed some time back. It's got a huge, crisp screen and GPS with WiFi, Bluetooth and a 5 megapixel camera. Just a year later and there's already discussion of the Touch HD 2. Great yes? Well, wait. Reg Hardware has learned that the new Touch HD 2 will not be powered by Windows Mobile, but instead by Google Android.
According to the site a source familiar with HTC's plans has said that the new device will be much faster than the original and faster even than the majority of HTC devices to date. Specs will, according to the source, include a 628Mhz Qualcomm CPU and a 3.8" screen.
