Orange announce Eee PC 901 with integrated 3G
06 Nov 2008 - Handsets - Asus (Windows) - By Leigh Geary

Just a couple of months back Orange announced the Eee PC 900. Unfortunately it needed an Icon 225 dongle plugged in to get you onto the Orange network. There's now none left because Orange have just launched the Eee PC 901. From what we can see it's pretty much the same, but this time the 3G connectivity is on-board, so no dongle.

Available on £25 per month plans, the Asus Eee PC 901 will be sold on the "Internet Everywhere" tariff with 3GB data allowance and 100 texts from the laptop per month on 24-month contracts. Coming in mid-November, you can choose from either black or pink.

ORANGE INTRODUCES Eee PC WITH EMBEDDED 3G CONNECTIVITY

£25 per month consumer offer available in Orange shops, online and through telesales for Christmas

London – 6th November 2008:
Orange today announced a new edition to its ‘connected laptop’ range. Following the huge popularity of its initial offering launched in August, Orange is now upgrading its consumer offer to make it even easier for consumers to get online by launching the Eee PC 901 with embedded 3G connectivity.

Available from mid-November, the new ultra portable Eee PC comes in a choice of either black or pink and features Intel’s Atom processor. What’s more, the Eee PC 901 comes equipped with five hours of battery life, an integrated webcam, and features an 8.9" compact design, weighing in at just 1.1kg - making it the ultimate portable computing experience.

Francois Mahieu, Director of Devices, Orange UK said: "By introducing the Eee PC 901 with integrated connectivity, we’re now making it even easier for customers to purchase a flexible solution that allows them to access the internet when they are out and about. As a result, we strongly believe this will be one of the most popular device offers in the market place this Christmas.”

With the largest integrated mobile data network in the UK, this is the second package in the company’s consumer connected laptop product line, with Orange also offering a range of connected laptops for business customers. The company plans to evolve its offerings over time to include fixed line broadband and an increased laptop range.

The Android App Review Show - Episode 12
This week I have been asked to review Twitter Pro. I am very fond of Tweetcaster so any new Twitter client has to be good. For £1.50 can this compete?
