OFFICIAL - Touch 3G goes live on the HTC website

Following our story from literally seconds ago we can now confirm that the HTC Touch 3G is now live and official.

Inside you've got a Qualcomm MSM7225 CPU running at 528 MHz with Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro and 256MB ROM with 192MB RAM. It's only 102mm X 53.6mm X 14.5mm and weighs just 96 grams with the battery. The Touch 3G also packs a QVGA 2.8" screen, HSDPA (900/2100 MHz) connectivity at 7.2 Mbps and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE.

GPS is also ono-board, as is Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR / A2DP and WiFi 802.11 b/g. The camera has been enhanced since the original HTC Touch - there's a 3.2 megapixel cam with fixed focus whilst the battery is 1100 mAh for extra talk-time.

HTC Touch VivaTM
The Touch VivaTM blends an affordable touch phone with the benefits of HTC’s TouchFLOTM, an easy to use phone and an optimized mobile Internet experience. In addition, with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, users can easily synchronize their calendar, contacts, emails and more with their personal computer.

Availability Both devices will be available in early October 2008 in a variety of markets. The Touch 3G will be available in four colors: sophisticated black, noble gold, sparkle blue and modern brown while the HTC Touch Viva will be available in Storm Gray.
