HTC Blackstone / HTC Touch HD - More details
10 Sep 2008 - Handsets - HTC (Windows) - By Leigh Geary

Last month we told you about a mysterious new device called the HTC Blackstone. There were rumours of a 3.7" screen and VGA screen and now we can reveal that yes, the Blackstone is real. The HTC Blackstone is the device shown today as the HTC Touch HD.

We've now got further information on this puppy, and we're trying hard not to say, "HTC Diamond in an iPhone casing" at any point. Although there's no internal memory it does have a microSD card slot and there's that uprated 5 megapixel camera, bigger battery and 3.5mm jack. There's also more ROM/RAM and a tweaked screen resolution, but other than that we're getting GPS, Bluetooth A2DP, WiFi, FM Radio and we're hearing of that tilt sensor too. We're being told that you should imagine a device which is the same size as the iPhone but in black, with a larger screen and minimalistic controls. TouchFlo 3D is on board, although it has had some small tweaks due to the screen size. The WVGA screen is a stunner.

This will be announced some time in October, going on sale soon after that.

Update - Even more specs below. Looks like Opera 9.5 will be on board too..
