HTC S730 Memory issues - wot, still no fix?

We first started hearing about memory issues on the HTC S730 in December and expected a fix of some kind to appear. The problem results in just 17mb of available memory being shown on the device, even without any programs loaded. It seems to get worse when just a few basic applications such as "Contacts" and "Messaging" are running, memory drops down to 5Mb available.
HTC are aware of the issue but, as yet there's still no fix apart from some unofficial ones floating around the web. So, with your help, we'd like to urge HTC to resolve this as soon as possible! Let them know your thoughts if you've experienced similar issues by addiing a comment.
