It looks like Palm are taking full advantage of yet another outage on the BlackBerry system in the USA yesterday. RIM blamed the outage on "a system upgrade which went wrong" and is the second major failure in less than a year.
Palm have taken out full-page adverts in national newspapers across the USA and they've now changed their US homepage to state...
, "Palm smartphones include voice, e-mail, text, Web, calendar, and contacts. And most importantly, uptime.
Connect to your Microsoft Exchange Server. No third-party servers and no nationwide blackouts."
Pictured on the right is the Palm Treo 750v linking to yet more pages mentioning a more "reliable foundation" and "no middleware". :)
