I had an email about an hour ago from an anonymous source with this picture attached. Now, being the trained journalist I am (!), I've decided to post this picture without checking anything out first. I've decided to do this just in case this all works out to be true later on down the line, then I can say, "Nerr, I posted that first on CoolSmartPhone.com, so go spin on that BOY!" .. Ahem...
Anyway, this is the new Orange SPV C550. Yes, C550. It's now being tested by Orange and we've received the following specs...
- 1.3 megapixel camera
- GPRS class 10
- 240x320 QVGA 65k (see below) TFT colour screen
- 64MB internal memory and Mini SD external memory
- USB, IrDA and Bluetooth connectivity
- Video MMS and download and playback
- Java 2.0
We're getting more info that it's got ..
- Integrated SZGA and Flash
- 262K (not 64K gisplay)
It looks a LOT like the SDA Music (have a look at the similarities here), and comes with iPodesque buttons. The SDA Music is made by HTC and named the HTC Amadeus. This Orange device looks like a slightly tweaked version of that same handset. It'll be a more music-centric device and will probably include Windows Media Player 10. We're also hearing that it'll appear in May 2005. There's some rumours that it'll have 3G capability, but there's obviously no inward-facing camera so...
