The other side of mobile phones

This site is all about the very latest and advanced mobile phones available, however we rarely think about the network infrastructure behind the magic. This mast / cell tower / transmitter (whatever you want to call it) recently appeared a few miles from where we live. Sure, the infamous "flat spot" of network coverage has now been sorted, but on a walk with the dog you almost don't want to see this sticking out of the ground complete with microwave transmitters and about a dozen seperate panels pointing in every direction.
I'm guessing this is where the "not in my back yard" feelings come to the surface. Everyone wants a good mobile signal, but no-one really wants to see this near their home.
