When you have a small child sleep becomes an extremely sought-after commodity. After having three days of the winter vomiting bug and then starting a nice bout of man flu (with coughing and everything) I was having a nice bit of sleep. It was 2.30 AM and I woke up.. I knew something had woke me up and I presumed that our son was awake, so I waited to hear something but he didn't make a sound.
Hmm.. Strange..
So, I dozed off again when, suddenly...
"Peek-a-booo"
It was a voice .. A voice from downstairs... I thought I'd dreamt it and sat bolt upright.....
"I see you!"
WAGH! What the hell? What the hell was that? Think man! Ahh... Wait ... It's a female voice.. It's ......
I know! It's one of those new toys for Billy! Phew.. I thought someone was roaming the house for a minute.. I went downstairs and, there it was on the top of the pile of toys - talking away every now and then for no good reason...
"Foot.. Yellow foot"...
"Hug me"
I took the batteries out. This thing just started talking! It's supposed to turn itself off after a while, not turn itself on and scare the living crap out of me in the middle of the night....
