Eve V going into production

Some of you may remember that I have been an avid follower of Eve-Tech and their crowdfunded 2-in-1 project. After an extremely successful Indiegogo campaign that was run at the tail end of 2016, the company is now ready to push into production. The potential shipping for the computer has been stated as May, which is slightly later than the initially anticipated April launch. This is down to some very minor issues that were discovered during the extensive prototype testing that is currently underway.

The device is a direct competitor to the popular Microsoft Surface Pro 4 line, and shares a lot of similarities with that product. After the initial production run to make the units for the Indiegogo backers, Eve-Tech will be rolling the product out to the public through their own web store. The initial run will be of 50 units, which will be intensively checked through the rigorous quality control systems that Eve-Tech have set in place. After this batch will be the second run of 500, before ramping up to 2000 units. Prices for the actual full retail units are still to be announced and will be competitive.

I cannot wait to see this computer in the flesh as it promises to be a stellar machine. Here is a small teaser of what is to be found under the lid, and is presented by none other than the CEO Konstantinos.
