Samsung announce Galaxy S6+ Edge

Samsung have today announced the brand new 5.7″ Galaxy S6 edge+.

The handset with 4GB RAM, wireless charging and internal storage of either 32 or 64gb will be available to pre order from 18th August and available to buy from 4th September in the UK.

The specs are pretty much identical to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, that means it is powered by an octa-core processor with 2.1GHz Quad and 1.5GHz Quad cores, a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter.  Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB 2.0 are all powered by a 3000mAh battery.

The 5.7″ Quad HD screen is reportedly sturdier than that on the smaller S6 edge and features what Samsung call a “dual edge” display.

Pricing and carriers for the UK are yet to be announced.
