Google gets sucked into the Alphabet

I’ll be quite honest, I’ve got very little I can say about this because it’s either a bland rename or a monumental shift in direction… I’m not sure which.
Google gets sucked into the Alphabet
Google, as a company, is no longer going to be a single company. Instead there’s a new kid on the block called Alphabet, which is essentially Google and all the Google employees and management, but under a new name. What happens to Google? Oh, that’s still there, but it’s now a subsidiary of the parent company.

Larry Page, Google’s co-founder is now the CEO of Alphabet, and will now be in charge of a selection of companies instead of just Google. He stated in an unexpected post that all shares in Google would convert into Alphabet ones and it should mean that investors will get to see where money is being spent.

Fundamentally, we believe this allows us more management scale, as we can run things independently that aren’t very related.

So basically, for the average guy in the street, it’s situation normal. You’ll still be “Googling” stuff and “Google” will be the centre of your online world.

Unless you use Bing or Yahoo. I’m sure there’s some of you out there.

Now I have a craving for spaghetti…. Wait, does this mean I’m using an Alphabet Android? Or an Alphabet Google Android?

Have they restricted themselves to a limit of 26 separate companies in Alphabet? Am I thinking too much into this?

Sooo hungry…
