Bought the Linx tablet and had trouble browsing?

If you managed to get the Linx 8 Windows 8.1 tablet from Sainsburys recently then you’ll know just how cheap it was. The 32GB 8″ tablet has an Intel quad core CPU, 1GB RAM and WiFi, Bluetooth, two cameras etc.

Trouble is, if you unboxed it and tried to visit the microsoft.com website you get this…

That’s a bit annoying considering it’s a Windows 8.1 OS. So, to fix (and a big thanks to Keni Barwick for this one), you need to open IE up in Desktop mode and select the cog in the top right. You then need to add microsoft.com to the compatibility settings.

Linx are looking into this as we speak. By the way, the 10″ version is up for £109.99 with eBuyer.
