Screenshots in Apple’s own iPad iOS 8 User Guide appear to have officially leaked the “iPad Air 2” and “iPad Mini 3”. Both devices share the same design as their previous generations, with the inclusion of Touch ID. It also describes that iPad Air 2 will be receiving the same “burst mode” that iPhone has had since the 5s.
This also indicates that Apple is not only bringing back numbers to the iPad naming scheme, but that iOS 8.1 should be launching tomorrow (as titled in the user guide).
