Nokia 735 gets official pricing and release date

Yesterday we brought you news that the Lumia 735 was available to pre-order SIM free, today we have received official confirmation of the launch date from Microsoft – the 2nd of October.

In case you missed it, the 735 is the 4G version of the 73x range, similar to the 635 and 630. It is a follow-up to the 720, and has been dubbed the ultimate selfie and skype phone due to its 5MP 24mm wide angle front facing camera, to ensure you’re not cropping anyone out of the picture or missing any of the background.

It will also be the first Windows Phone to launch in the UK with the Beta version of Cortana, yes I know you can get it via the developer preview. Other key specs include:

  • 4.7″ HD OLED screen covered in 2.25D curved glass
  • Quad core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor
  • Windows Phone 8.1 with Denim update
  • 8GB internal memory, 30GB OneDrive cloud storage and microSD slot up to 128GB
  • 6.7MP rear camera
  • 5MP wide angle front facing camera
  • 2220 mAh battery giving 25 days standby or 17 hours talktime
  • Mix Radio, HERE suite and Office software included as standard

The phone will be available in bright orange, bright green, black and white from all the main retailers, some colours may be exclusive and should be available from £19.99 per month.
