New Lumia handsets now available to pre order

Released at the start of September at the IFA conference in Berlin was the Lumia 735 and the Lumia 830.  Microsoft promised that these would be available for September.  These phones were beginning to look like the yeti – much discussed but rarely seen in public – until today.  Now three retailers – Clove, Unlocked Mobiles and Expansys – have revealed their prices and availability.  Both handsets are due in stock at the start of October, so those who pre-order should receive them shortly thereafter.  Pricing is as follows:

Clove: Lumia 735 – £220; Lumia 830 – £300
Unlocked Mobiles: Lumia 735 – £224.98; Lumia 830 – £304.98
Expansys: Lumia 735 – £229.99; Lumia 830 – £324.99

The handsets are sim free and available in black, green and orange.

Both phones are mid-to-low range handsets, despite Microsoft’s fabulously believable sales pitch that they are ‘affordable flagships’.  All we need now is a bottle to set them on their way.
