HTC SenseTV appears on the Google Play store
Another app which looks set to arrive on the all new HTC One is this,  HTC SenseTV. It’s an update on the existing built-in infrared remote that can control your TV, set-top box and other kit.

The new version has had a lick of paint and a big dollop of sports sports-focused functionality. We can see that the app shows the results of sports events, points and other statistics. There’s also a hook into Twitter so you can see what others are saying about the match in question.

The HTC SenseTV app listing states..

TV makes your smartphone a key part of the entertainment experience. By using this application, you easily discover new movies or TV shows, tune into your preferred shows, get reminded when your favorite shows are on, see what shows are coming up, and more.
Features
1. Discover current and upcoming programs with the intelligent electronic program guide (EPG) that learns your viewing habits and suggests shows you might like.
2. Control your TV, set top box, and home theater system in your room seamlessly.
3. Support EPGs and remote controls in multiple rooms.
4. Explore on-screen secondary content about the shows you watch, including synopsis, cast & crew, and social feeds about the show from Facebook and Twitter.
5. With HTC TV LiveSports, you can be in the middle of the action while watching an ongoing game. View scores, stats, and social media buzz in real-time right on your phone.

These additional HTC apps are all connected to the big HTC One (M8) launch, which is happening in just a few minutes from now. Keep an eye on our Twitter feed for more info.
