Samsung Galaxy S devices going metal?

We all know Samsung for their plastic builds. It’s something that some have criticised and that may be likely to change with the next iteration of the Galaxy S flagship.

A patent uncovered by Patent Bolt shows a complete redesign with sleek sharp edges. The patent was filed in South Korea in 2011 and awarded in the US last year.

From the images it looks excellent. Perhaps a little Lumia looking in my opinion. None the less, this discovery adds weight to the current rumours of a metal shell for the Galaxy S5 but we’ll see what pans out.

Is a design overhaul from Samsung long over due? Do you think they make the switch of materials? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below,
