Nokia announce the Lumia 1020
After what has to be the most leaky build up to a device unveiling ever Nokia have announced the Lumia 1020. It is their new flagship, their new PureView device and more than likely the thing they’re pinning their hopes on.

As to be expected the Nokia CEO has something rather sweeping to say about it.

“We want to take people on a journey from capturing pictures to recording and sharing their lives,” and also “The Nokia Lumia 1020 will bring new meaning to pictures and continues to strengthen Nokia’s leadership in imaging.”

Still no support from BSKYB for Sky Go, it is a shame, really only thing holding me back from going home to a Nokia Device, especially this one.
Sky = big monthly bill, no support for WP, not for me (yet).

If they have a UK Nokia/Microsoft party soon, can you ask them?

  • Martin

That looks like a bloomin’ great phone/camera combo. At last something I’d be really happy to take pictures with. Here is a pretty good article about the device with a little more in depth tech details of the sensor http://www.anandtech.com/show/7142/some-thoughts-about-the-lumia-1020-camera-system.

The new camera app developed for the 1020 is going to be rolled out to the 920,925 and 928 too.
