There is now less than two weeks until the grand unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S IV in New York and despite Samsung’s usual tight lid on security the specifications have leaked out online.
Seen on AnTuTu, the new flagship handset would appear to be powered by the Exynos 5 processor with a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU.
Other specifications include:
- 4.99″ 1920×1080 display
- 2GB RAM
- SoC Exynos 5 Octa
- GPU PowerVR SGX 544MP
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
- 13 megapixel back camera
- 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera;
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth 4.0
- NFC
Screenshots of the benchmark are shown below however regardless of performance it is almost a given that this is another Samsung device that will sell by the bucketload!

ok its
it’s 30percent faster but its not exactly a game changer
So angry birds will play better? All this is meaningless in the real world if the battery only lasts 9 hours.
It seems to be getting to the stage that we now need more stuff to do with all this extra processing power. Out of all the things I think of when I use my phone, “I wish this was quicker” is seldom one. My only frustration these days is poor data speeds when I need them most, and I don’t think that’s likely to change, even with 4G.
I think Sony and HTC have gone down the right road. Rather than stick the next processor in, they’ve done some quite innovative things, and IMHO these are the things that are going to sell devices. That said, most people don’t look much past the branding.
