Announced in our earlier report from the Nokia session at MWC, Nokia have rebranded their Mapping, Navigation and Transit apps under the new HERE name.
Previously only available on Nokia devices (Nokia Drive+ beta briefly excepted), HERE Drive, HERE Maps and HERE Transit are now available to other Windows Phone 8 users.
Drive and Maps both have offline maps and are really quite good, and an important part of Windows Phone’s efforts to match its competitors.
So try them out now – just be aware that you will need WiFi to download the offline maps (annoyingly!) – due to an OS limitation on large cellular downloads.
