If you’ve been following our liveblog, you will have noticed that today RIM have been busy showing off their new mobile platform, BB10. Well, we heard from Three earlier that they would be stocking the new smartphone, but now we’ve got further confirmations from both retailers and networks in the UK.
Phones 4U
Phones 4u have got first dibs on the BlackBerry Z10 in white and are holding a press event at their flagship store on Oxford Street starting at 9AM – they promise that “customers and fans can be amongst the first to experience the new BlackBerry Z10, get their hands on some freebies, AND rub shoulders with Pixie Lott herself.” If you make it down to Oxford Street for 9AM tomorrow with the intention of picking up a shiny new smartphone, then a) if you are in the first 50 you also get a BlackBerry Playbook 64GB (that is also being updated to BB10 and b) Please tweet us at @coolsmartphone.
Not in London? Don’t worry, the giving is also happening online as well! You can get the black or white models online from 9AM tomorrow and the first two hundred and fifty people to purchase will also receive the 64GB PlayBook. No pricing details as of yet, but I would imagine the pay as you go price will be inline with the other retailers at £479.99.
Carphone Warehouse
The retailer action doesn’t end there! Carphone Warehouse have also confirmed they will be stocking the Z10, this time with a bit more information on pricing (which is always helpful). It’ll start from £36 a month on a 24 month contract and will also be available in black from tomorrow, the 31st January.
