We all had an inkling from the dodgy Sony label on the back of it, but we’ve just had confirmed. The Sony Nexus that ‘leaked’ on Monday was indeed a fake. There’s a quite interesting read on how the ‘faker’ did it too. 
News of this broke on Monday, but it appears we didn’t feel it newsworthy enough and sat on the story whilst we investigated it further. James Pearce did mention it in our podcast on Thursday, but now the truth has come out from this website. It seems that a lot of time and trouble went into this and lit up the news sites across the web extremely quickly.
