With all the issues surrounding the new Maps app in iOS 6 a lot of people are quick to point out that it isn’t the only solution to navigating our wonderful planet.
My good friends at CoPilot got in touch with me today to say that their app has been updated to take full advantage of iOS 6 and the new screen space of the iPhone 5.

- · Google local search replacing Bing. By popular request, customers can now find all the nearby places they need using integrated Google search
- · Improvements throughout the app: The update also brings a large number of user interface improvements, fixes and performance enhancements based on customer feedback

As you can see the app integrates with the new Maps app, enabling you to search for locations using the app then navigate there with accuracy using the offline navigation maps that CoPilot provide. Another great addition is the inclusion of Google Search within the app, giving you back access to the vast POI database.
