Google’s Matias Duarte is only ‘a third of the way’ into his Android ideas!

For those of you who haven’t heard of Matias Duarte, he is the genius behind the interfaces of WebOS and all Android versions since Honeycomb. If we take a moment to think back to stock Gingerbread’s design and then we quickly fast forward to now and the recent release of Jelly Bean, him and his team have made huge improvements to Android already!

Recently Duarte posted on his Google+ page that he feels he’s only about a third of the way into his vision for Android! If Jelly Bean is only a third of the way then the new dessert flavour OS updates will be getting even sweeter for a long time to come ! Duarte’s full post is just below:

“It’s true, we still have a lot of work to do. Personally I feel like I’ve gotten only about a third of the way to where I want to be with regards to consistency, responsiveness, and polish. Better get back to work!”

His enhancements to Android have already netted him a place on Fast Company’s top 50 ‘Designers shaping the future’ list and it looks like all Android fans have a lot more to look forward to!
