Yesterday Acer announced a new small Nexus and Kindle Fire competitor. It is called the Iconia A110 which follows on the A100 we reviewed a while back. Acer have made a nice range of tablets of the years and hopefully this one will continue the trend.
The spec is as follows:

- 390 g
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- 2MP front-facing camera
- NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 quad-core processor
- HDMI port
- Micro USB port
- Micro-SD card slot
- 8gb or 16gb models
No mention of the screen spec yet, although when Acer initially mentioned it a while back the screen was meant to be 1024×600 which is a little less than the Nexus 7. Although the A110 has the extra MicroSD slot and HDMI slot which will make it more functional than the Nexus. Although the custom ROM scene for the Nexus will be miles ahead of the A110.
