Over the past few weeks we keep hearing more and more about the upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices. We have a bright yellow Nokia Lumia and we have seen some varied specs for three different HTC devices. As far as Samsung was concerned we had heard some codenames mentioned in court during their battle with Apple.
Well in the latest chapter of the story with Samsungs offering SamMobile have been tipped off with codenames and specs for a mid range and a high end device. The specs are as follows:
The Samsung GT-I8370 Omnia (Marco)
- 4.0” WVGA Super Amoled display
- 5 megapixel camera (back)
- 1.9 megapixel camera (front)
- 8GB + Micro SD
- Dual Krait 1.5Ghz
- Price between 350 – 450 euro
The Samsung GT-I8750 Omnia (Odyssey)
- 4.8” HD Super Amoled display
- 8 megapixel camera (back)
- 1.9 megapixel (front)
- 16/32GB + Micro SD
- Dual Krait 1.5Ghz
- Price between 500 – 600 euro
So the higher spec I8750 sounds like a dual core Windows Phone version of the SIII which is very interesting. I also like the sound of the Micro SD cards as well in both models. Hopefully in the next few weeks we will start to see official announcements of what these manufacturers are actually going to release.
