A post over at Sam Mobile claims to have learned of the timescales Samsung currently have in mind for updating devices such as the Galaxy S3 and S2 and also the Galaxy Note.
The post gives the following timescales
Galaxy S III – End Q3 begin Q4
Galaxy S II – Q4
Galaxy Note – Q4
Galaxy Note II – begin Q4
October marks the start of Q4 so, if these dates are accurate, there is a chance that Galaxy S3 users will get the update in September. Sam Mobile also notes that the firmwares are currently in testing with Samsung and are almost ready for public consumption.
Sam Mobile have a good reputation when it comes to this type of information and they have, in the past, managed to obtain leaked and pre-release versions of software.
Fingers crossed that these updates are rolled out as quickly as possible.
