At CES in Las Vegas earlier this year Toshiba kept going on about the thinnest tablet EVER*. Well it has made it’s way across to the UK and Carphone Warehouse have them in stock now. They come in either 16gb or 32gb. They cost £399 and £449 They ship with Honeycomb and will receive an Ice Cream Sandwich update soon.
The spec is pretty much as you would expect for a high end tablet except that they have gone with a TI OMAP processor this time instead of a NVIDIA TEgra chip.
The AT200 is an ultra-thin and lightweight Tablet device that is just 7.7mm thin and features an award-winning premium brushed metal design with scratch-resistant and anti-fingerprint screen. Extensive connectivity options; micro-HDMI, micro-USB and micro-SD, are included to enable you to expand storage or transfer files from other devices. It is powered by Android 3.2, designed for Tablets and enables access to Android Market for access to over 400,000 apps, Flash 10.3 ensures a full web experience and HD video playback is also supported. Other specs are TI OMAP 4430, 1.2GHz CPU, 25.7cm (10.1’’) capacitive LCD panel with LED backlight and multi-touch support, Up to 8 hours battery, Weight 558g, RAM 1GB DDR2.
